Program Vengeance delivers consuming, shattered environments of electronic darkness.
Powerfully shaped, unrelenting, Propergol drives over the edge of hysteria, reveling in unimagined dusks of madness.
Arcing, dark ambient synth washes form meancing juxtapositions with crawling, scraping noise and voices; gasps of horror and pleasure; interruptions of
torment, woofer-slamming heartbeats, glass, metal, gunshot and percussive explosions.
Relentless beat patterns perpetuate the angst, confusion of a descent into dream-sequences of movie clips, excerpts of history, moments of
anonymous violence. Certainly, at times, the texture is oversaturated, bombastic, but always - there is direction, intent. The gestures
lead to deliberate, intense moments of climax and desolation, or into machine-like rhythms.
Even at the moments when the music is most sparse, there is always some element perpetuating an intensity, moving toward
another outburst of affliction or inhumanity.
Propergol's execution is expertly brutal; the effect hypnotic, despondent, numbing.
Stop the elevator; Hell is feeling sick and wants to get off.
